Ulee lheue Mosque - The Unforgetable Ancient
Ulee lheue Mosque - The Unforgetable Ancient-At April 22 2013 Architechture Fotography class were hunting in Ulee Lheu Mosque. at the first sight, i just see that as ordinary mosque, because there's nothing more interesting objek. My opinion was changed when i read the history of this building.
More or less like this:
" This mosque was built by the late of Teuku Teungoh in 1926 funded by self supporting of community leaders and community organizations of meuraca, ilee lheue. It is founded on the waqaf ground (The ground that donated by somebody)
In 1981, this mosque received a grant from the kingdom of saudi Arabia amounted to 3.000.000 IDR. Space extension were made to the left and right side so it can accomodate more worshiper.
This mosque is the only building left in the village of Ulee Lheue and still firmly standing in the brunt of the tsunami fury on December 26, 2004"
